The processing

The plants for Wu Lu mist tea grow in the misty conditions of mountainous regions. The high humidity in the soil and the air creates an excellent environment for cultivating this tea. The foggy mornings and evenings help to hydrate the tea plants and slow down their growth, resulting in tender leaves with a unique flavor profile.

The origin of the tea

We source tea leaves for our TIGER ROCK WU LU from Shimen in the Chinese province of Hunan. This region is well known for the production of high-quality green teas. Ancient tales indicate that tea cultivation in Shimen dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD).
